Templates, Pulse Survey, and a 30-Day Rollout Plan
Use this as your practical implementation page.
1) Recognition Templates (Copy/Paste)
Performance Impact “Thank you [employee name] for [action]. It directly impacted [result]. Keep doing that—this is a difference-maker.”
Values-Based “That was a great example of [value], especially when you [behavior]. That standard matters here.”
Growth-Oriented “I noticed how you handled [challenge]. Your [skill] is improving. What support would help you keep building it?”
Behind-the-Scenes “I want to recognize the work most people will never see—[invisible work]—it made everything smoother.”
2) “Wins + Impact” Meeting Script (2 Minutes)
“Before we jump in: two quick wins. What worked this week, and what was the impact? Keep it specific.”
3) Quarterly Employee Engagement Review Agenda (60 Minutes)
What improved since last quarter (evidence + examples)
What is creating friction or slowing execution
Top 3 recognition moments (what behaviors did they reinforce?)
What do we need to repeat next quarter (cadence + owners)
One engagement experiment to run for 30 days
4) Pulse Survey (12 Questions)
Use a 1–5 scale (Strongly Disagree → Strongly Agree):
I know what is expected of me this week.
I have the tools and support to do my job well.
Good work is recognized here in a meaningful way.
My manager gives useful feedback that helps me improve.
I understand how my work connects to company goals.
I feel comfortable raising problems or risks early.
We address issues quickly rather than letting them linger.
Work is distributed fairly across the team.
I have opportunities to grow in my role.
Leadership communicates clearly and consistently.
I feel respected by my coworkers.
I would recommend this organization as a great place to work.
Optional open-ended:
“What should we stop doing?”
“What is one change that would improve your work experience most?”
5) 30-Day Implementation Plan
Week 1: Define winning behaviors + recognition expectations
Week 2: Launch daily recognition + wins/impact in meetings
Week 3: Run pulse survey + fix one friction point fast
Week 4: Share outcomes + commit to the next cadence
